It's About Time

Updated: Jan 28

Wow. I can't believe I finally did it. I have left the consistency and security of having a 'real job' to start my own event planning company. Let me just tell you that my husband is WONDERFUL! Without his support this wouldn't even be possible. I have spent many nights worried and tearful about what was next for me, and he has always been more than understanding and helpful with this crazy idea of mine. After an evening with lots of wine and a motivational speech from my mother, I knew it was about time.

After a couple weeks of creating a logo & website, ordering marketing materials, opening up new social media accounts, and filing for an LLC, here I am writing my very first blog post. CRAZY! I have never been one to share personal details about myself on social media so this is going to take some getting used to. My heart longs to create and DO things, so whether it's cooking, decorating cakes, crafting, gardening, writing a letter, or even cleaning, that is when I'm most happy! I can't wait to share details on things I'll be working on or things that will just simply inspire you.

Let me fill you in with some details about me. I was born and raised in Spotsylvania, Virginia, am 27 years young, and about to celebrate my first wedding anniversary to the most wonderful man. I grew up in a loving family that has always supported my extracurricular activities. I have done gymnastics, ballet, soccer, softball, volleyball, and horseback riding during my time on this earth thus far. Horses have always been a huge part of my life. I started riding at age 8, started competing at 10, got my first horse when I was 16 (Joey, who I still own today!), and rode on the equestrian team at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Yeah, I was able to do all those things even with being one of FOUR children. My parents rock...and they just celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary this month. Talk about inspiration right there.

Now here I am, doing what I love and planning events. I am my own boss now and that seems a bit daunting at times, but this is the happiest I have been in a long time so this is exactly where I should be. I look forward to sharing more with you through this blog...now go do something that makes you happy, or try something new...it's almost Friday people and that is definitely something to smile about :)

xo, Karoline
